Vananda is a pretty bay surrounded by a pine forest, about half an hour's walk from the village of Diafani. It has a pebble beach and the sea is crystal clear.
Above the bay you will see two small white chapels and local people working in the fields and olive groves.

Behind the beach you will find a stone fountain with plenty of fresh water to drink and a pipe below for a simple cold shower after your swim.

Continuing passed the fountain you will find a small taverna-bar and there are now some simple rooms to rent.

There is also a small piece of land for camping but, apart from the taverna, there are no organised camping facilities or shops. You will have to pay a minimum ground rate. Camping fires are strictly prohibited.

On the first Tuesday after Greek Orthodox Easter there is a lovely festival in Vananda for "LAMBRI TRITI".
