TAXI  !  from the  Diafani  A to Z   list  of  the website  WELCOME  TO  DIAFANI  (www.diafani.com) If you arrive on the island of Karpathos by plane you will see taxis waiting for passengers outside the airport building. There is also a taxi station in the centre of the capital town (called Karpathos or Pigadia ) with a notice board listing the places to visit and the prices. Three local men from Olymbos-Diafani have bought new comfortable cars with air conditioning and obtained the permit to run them as taxis for locals and visitors. Check the price of the transport with your driver before leaving. Two of these men are based in Pigadia and will of course be happy to drive you up to Diafani.
